Sustle for society

Sustle was founded on the ethos that in buying and surrounding yourself with beautiful objects and textiles you could be doing a little bit of good in the world.
Why shouldn’t the throw on your bed be helping someone escape poverty?
Why can’t the jacket I'm wearing have been produced in a way which provides a sustainable and fair income for that tailor and their family. 

Our goal is to work with independent suppliers and crafts people around the world designing and sourcing fairly traded and sustainably produced quilts, clothing and accessories.

Why Sustle?  Well... sometimes craft has to be a side hustle for its makers. 
We know it’s their love and their skill that create these wonderful items, but sometimes they can’t produce enough in our fast fashion orientated world to satisfy the big stores who want large volume at a low price.  The knock on effect of this is artisans having to take additional jobs and eventually the craft is the side hustle.
Or in the case of many of the wonderful women kantha artisans they fit their work in around the daily family tasks.
Not strictly a side hustle, but you get the point!

So when you buy one of these beautiful hand crafted items you are supporting these wonderful artisans and craftspeople.
It’s a Sustle for society!
